The PT 420 series sensor allows for a precise measurement from 0-50mm to 0-50m ranges.
The moving part is attached to the cable end, while the body is fixed. The cable movement pulls a spring attached to a potentiometer. The cable spring maintain a constant pull back tension on the cable. When high speed measurement is required, 50g and 100g acceleration option are available. The precision is maintained on both movements.
